One day in the foothills of Canterlot, a little pony read a story and got into a lot of trouble and made a few friends.
Fanart for episode 1 of season 1. Desktop sized as best I could.

This was drawn for myself, and it was fueled by the people that have said all those really nice things about my art and stuck with me while I was being thoughtless. Thanks. <3

The attention to the background is by far one of this pieces strongest points with the cliff and waterfall giving a lot of personality. Twilight herself is well drawn though her jawline struck me as very masculine at first glance. The shading puts attention where it needs to be and the contrast of color with Twilight and her background helps pull the entire thing together. A little bit darker shading on the hill near the left side of the piece seems a little bold and pulls a little bit to much attention to itself. But what I see here makes me long for the ability to produce work anywhere near this level. Amazing Job.
