Pokemon Fanart by Noben Pokemon Fanart by Noben
This was something to chip out my art block. This is gift art for my sweets, :iconthekitfox:.

Giselle is a pokemon that's a sky pirate, and she caught my eye. l o l
Oh yeah, she's a herm.

A huge inspiration has been Strype over on FA.  I've been idolizing his art for forever and taking notes here and there, especially on his crisp, fine lines and even more awesome lighting.

I feel as if this piece is EPIC on so many levels! The shading gives the piece a really ominous and suspenseful tone, which so many ideas and possibilities come to mind when i see this type of shading and lighting. Also I love the color scheme it's very subtle, but impacts the image in such a way it all fits together, especially with the glow on the blue. I love the concept of the character and your style is very unique. You did an amazing job on this artwork and I would love to see more of it :) AMAZING!

Her personality here almost seems to come from her waist more than her face, making me think of the oldskool hiring strategy for flight attendants. In fact the whole figure has a great sense of weight and presence, to the point where it teases out niggling little thoughts that her upper body seems to have a slightly exaggerated sway (which could after all just be blamed on the improbable fantasy armor).

Using a narrow depth of field to background the more fantastical features of her anatomy is a really interesting solution that's very cinematic, though maybe not as much as the uncanny-light foregrounding that coördinates left hand with right eye. The sheen on her hand brings to mind the 'glistening' look that was used in Morrowind to indicate that an item was enchanted (which is prob. considerably more difficult to pull off in a non-animated image) and the light falling on her eyepatch pretty much has the AAA lighting esthetic down pat. The only obvious weak points worth mentioning would have to be that her right palm looks curiously flat, and that the torn fishnet stocking comes off a little like an unerased pencil underdrawing.

"If there is a problem, you solve it with light" is what they say in the movies (about Blade Runner, IIRC) but this doesn't stoop to that; more than anything, the use of focus approaches the advanced techniques seen in Shane Carruth and Blue is the Warmest Color.

This Is good art I know its a pikachu but it looks like a verry sexy rabbit with alot of tattos and body art.

When i first saw it I thaught it was some fanart from a new game that just went out into open beta called WildStar.
